SoCal question

So... is it worth it to go with just CARB approved mods?... new to "new Muscle. Cars"

Always just did up pre-smog cars.

Like for the power increase for shorty headers.. relating to the cost.. is it worth it?

I would do CARB approved mods that are expensive and require time to install (or remove), i.e.; F.I., headers, etc. I run ARH shorties that I got for a great price from another member. Not sure I would have purchased new for the small gains. I run high flow cats and a CAI, which, are not CARB legal, but, are easy to r&r for smog if needed and produce good gains especially with my supercharger.

Just keep all you stock OEM parts in case you need to reinstall for smog issues.

Other than that mod away and enjoy life.
