Escondido Cruising Grand

Hey, I know Cruising Grand is officially for the older cars, but I love taking my car and doing a few laps before I park and check out the classics. Is anyone interested in doing this too? Maybe we could fill a block with Camaros and make a little noise...

You may have time to wash you car every 2 days but I don't. Plus I think the black looks so much better.

I don't have the time, but I sure try to! The black looks pretty good on the wheels, I will admit.

I am torn between keeping the car bone stock or doing this and that to make it unique. I am considering a cat back for more of an old school rumble, the black front and rear bowties....and who knows what else will catch my fancy.

I had the car at the dealership while I was on vacation. While it was in they removed the wheels and sent them out for powder coat. I am not sure who they used but it cost $700. My dealership is Jimmy Johnson Chevrolet.

Race Legal and new mods

Anyone going to the races Friday night?
I installed my new C.A.I intake and Flowmaster Outlaw Cat-back exhaust this weeken. The sound is incredible and seems to drive smoother with the CAI. I could not be happier. I will post exhaust clips as soon as I get them onto my computer.

I am not going to make the Race Legal this time (commitments), but I will be at the Coronado car show on Sunday, I am taking my 1955 Chevy. The show is from 10:00 to 3:00. The show is for pre- 73's cars. Location is Orange Avenue & Isbella. They have signed up over 300 cars.

I just added a thread for our "Racers' Run" on April 28. Travis has proven that he is fast in the corners as well as on the strip. What about the rest of you? Or just join us on the run.

Thanks. I looked at those wheels as well. Very nice. I ended up going with the cheaper option in order to keep the stock wheels.

Where are all of the Camaro cruisers and racers for the Racers' Run on Saturday?
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=217800

Travis and Aaron are in, with a couple of additional "maybes" who hopefully will be "definites". The rest of you aren't afraid of a few Corvette guys, are you?

The rain will be long gone by Sat. am. The forecast is for a perfect cruising day. The route we take to K1 is full of fun, twisty roads with (mostly) very light traffic. If you have never been to K1 Speed, it is a blast and great road course practice. We will top it all off with lunch at the Corvette Diner.

Folks this is a great time. Made this cruise a couple months ago. The route is comparable to the cruise scheduled for the 5th in a fun factor plus the go cart track at the end. If you are military you can get reduced price tickets at MWR on base for the K1 Speed as well.
