Hey guys does anyone know about the laws in California, whether it's illegal or not if I had my whole car wrapped in matte black and it's original color is white?

I don't see why that would be illegal. I've seen some crazy ass cars out on the road, so I don't think this would be a big thing. On that note tho, I think your car looks good as it is now. If you have the whole thing in matte black then you won't have the white for contrast.

Not what you asked but, Axle backs are an easy self install. If you 1/2 way mechanically inclined you can do it. There is a lot of satisfaction of doing the work yourself.

Catbacks are a bit tricky just because you really need the whole car elevated. Axlebacks are simple. Raise the rear of the car. Unbolt. Hell you could probably do it without even raising the car.

Agreed, I'm not up for installing it by myself. I want it welded on to.

Yeah, which probably isnt me apparently,
I was thinking of my GTO where the axle backs were bolted on behind the muffler. The Camaro requires cutting. Still forget which car I drive sometimes. Whoops

I Highly recommend Hanson's Muffler because they did my 55 Chevy many years ago and it still sound great with no problems with the workmanship.

No sweat, just throwing it out there. I would caution against welding as a properly flared and clamped pipe will work just as well and simplify removal for future upgrades. My two cents and definitely nite the only option. Good luck.

Well, I'm not sure what the difference is between welded and clamped. I was told by another member that his were welded on and also listened to his video it sounds bad ass.
What are the differences?

It won't affect the sound one way or the other. Clamps are removable should you want to change your mufflers again. Otherwise you'd have to cut them off and have them welded again.

Looks kinda sketchy, what are the chances of me driving home with 1 exhaust ?

If I decide to clamp them on, it would be a shame to pay more than $20's for that job.
