The WRX will beat a V6 Camaro. From a stop, from a roll, 1/8 mile, 1/4 mile.`It's a faster car, but it looks like the bastard child of a toad and Ernest Borgnine.

Might want to PM one of the mods and ask them to move this to the Camaro vs... section.

As for the reason they have quicker acceleration you can add gearing to what has already been mentioned. The do well until about 95 mph then have a pretty big gear jump (unless they changed that for the new ones). That's why if you can get them at a closed airport and roll on from 60-70 you will beat them. You car does really well in 3rd and 4th, but 1st and 2nd are just a little too tall for the drag strip.

Yo...give it a shot, but to be honest he's probably gonna wax your a$$...a WRX subie will give an SS a hard time, plus if he's not stock you're even more done. All the mods listed in your sig only weigh you down and make your car look good.

on the bright side though, you're car still looks better

First, I'd point out to this jackwagon that no matter who wins, your Camaro will still be getting all the stares and compliments while his will not.

Then point out that having a fast car on the street will only get him in trouble.

Then say "Your busting of my balls to race leads me to believe that your weanus is even smaller than <insert name of girl here> said it was."

So that means that it will not only beat the V6 Camaro, but will beat the SS Camaro as well!

the cherry bomb is probably the best sounding for the v6 IMO but one of my mufflers started to create an annoying rattle. The tubing also started to show signs of bad wear & and a little rust after about a yr with it on since its made of aluminum. So i took it off. good luck tho and enjoy it.

Just wondering what your subs along with the box and amps weigh? Adding up all your mods, you are probably slower than stock if the sound system is heavy

IT made rattle because the in the mid where u connect that black piece of plate with 4 bolts is touching the 3 inch pipes, you must get a aftermarket one in order to be safe, as far as rust, im good for now later on in couple months i will get rustoleum heat resistant and anti corrosion spray and finish my pipes off .

Actually the box of the speaker is quite light, i would say around 10 - 16 pounds at most. Its weight on the back of the car so to say when taking off all the weight transfers to the rear wheel and maybe will help give that little grip on ground, as for my exhaust and air intake they are lighter than stock by far.. mufflers are way smaller and lighter i compared the 2 systems before putting them on, so my car actually lost alot of poundage from the damn stock mufflers and stock Intake, As far as my badging goes, Yeah so what if i bought aftermarker RS emblem? i like how it looks "in italian voice" wanna fight about it? im buying aftermarker Xenons and my oracle lights are in and then after market custom leatherseats that should make up close enough to RS package >.> lol,

(Marlon Brando chin rub and facial expression) Haha.

No fighting necessary, just pointing it out... and I think you're forgetting:
a) the 20" wheels
b) the body-colored roof ditch molding
c) Unique RS taillamps and
d) the rear spoiler

Leather seats has to do whether it's a 1 or 2 series (1LT vs 2LT)

So still a ways to go to earn the badge, but to each their own

Until you run him, your not going to know. The driver will play a huge part in a turbo'd car too. If he doesn't shift right and de-spools that turbo mid run hes in trouble. I've ridden in an 01 WRX with exhaust/tune/manual boost controller for a 1320' pass and i gotta say at 12.9 he will give my SS a run for it. You have to remember, you can launch those light subies SO FREAKING HARD and all they do is chirp and run.. do not underestimate AWD on launch. Launching one of our camaros like that just ends up with an awesome smoke show, which while it might be cool, will lose you the race every time. Again, really its all up the driver, if he botches the launch or mis-shifts you might take him, if he knows what hes doing, or gets some beginners luck your gonna have a hard time.

There is a stock 2009 WRX running 12.9 on the fast list. My buddy's stock 09 runs 13.3-13.4 all night long.

LOL, my new neighbor across the street has a black one with dorky spoiler.

I don't care how fast it goes, its still a dorkmobile that sounds like a lawnmower.

Stock WRX does 0-60 in 4.7 and the 1/4 mile in 13.5 @ 100 mph+. With the aforementioned mods he should be in the solid low 13's and 0-60 in the low-mid 4's. That's L99 territory.
