So I am going to be installing a set of richmond 4:11 gears and I want to make sure I do everything I can to protect my investment.
I know there are quite a few people who have gone thru this process. I plan to the add JRE BILLET CAPS to help strengthen the housing and reducing flex. From the research I have done it appears that the aluminum house flexes cause loading issues and damaging gears.
My question to those who run their cars hard, is there anything else I should upgrade with in or around the housing to reduce flex? I know there is an aftermarket diff cover, but it appears that that component shoots diff oil out of the vent at hwy speeds.
I plan shortly down the road to upgrade my suspension to reduce wheelhop and plant my power. Right now I am just looking for advice on the diff/ gear replacement. And no I don't want to spend 6 k on a 9inch set up
