2012 Rolex 24 Camaro Corral

Putting together a Camaro Corral for the 2012 Rolex 24 race at Daytona International Speedway. See the attached event flyer for ticket info and what is included as part of the corral. I am currently working on some additional "perks" and will update as things become finalized. Pass the word around, the more the better for this event. Nothing like a winter vacation in Florida and being able to combined that with Camaros and racing.

Dude, that would be SICK I'm only about a 3-4 hour drive away and I have been wanting to go to one of these races for a long time. I may have to be part of the corral.

If you have never been to Rolex 24 at Daytona, its a pretty sick experience. Pitpass is where it's at. You can basically stand right there for the most part while teams work on their cars....at all hours of the day/night.

Few years back, one of the Porsche teams decided to put a car into a barrier on the track. Standing in the garage behind the car watching as one of the crew members is struggling to pull out the rear quarter enough to get a new tail light back in, the driver of the car who was standing next to me muttered he was having a hard time. I suggested how he should do it in a joking but polite manner. Next thing I know, the driver is taking the crow bar out from the crew member's hand, gives it to me, and says "Your right... you do it." Fit like a glove after a few minutes of some bending and pulling

2012 Rolex 24 Hr.race is fast approaching, who is stepping up to attend the race? Working with the Grand Am and Daytona people to have a Meet and Greet with one of the Camaro teams. You never know what "special" perks will be part of this event. Come out and enjoy the race, meet fellow Camaro owners, and support Chevrolet's racing program. There is not a better form of racing that appreciates the fans more than the Grand Am/ Rolex/ Continental Tire series. Call 1-866-500-TIXX and mention you will be part of the Camaro Corral to take advantage of the special ticket offer.
Who are the Camaro racing supporters that will be attending? Post your name if you are attending.

For you diehard racing fans there is The Roar Before the Race on the weekend of Jan 6-8 with $15 p/day tickets to watch the teams practice. I will be at the track on Sat. 7th to get my pre-race adrenaline fix.

Where are all the Camaro race fans?

NO ONE interested in attending an exciting race where you can get up close to the action and meet some of the premier race teams of the series? A Meet and Greet is being organized with the Stevenson Motorsports team as part of the Camaro Corral. Check back often as additional info is forthcoming.

More details beginning to come together as part of the Corral. Dyno will be present with an EXTREMELY affordable price for 2 pulls. Once I recieve the offical notice I will post the pricing, all the procedes will go to a local charity (TBD). Besides the dyno, there will be significant swag for those who attend. Again all the final details are being worked out but this is one event you don't want to miss. You will get your moneys worth and then some. Check back often for updates and post up if you will be attending so a list can be compiled.

This video gives you a little of the flavor of previous corrals at other events. This will be a real fun time as well as a great race.

For anyone thinking of going here's some food for thought ........ Here's a post of the things we've done at the Mid-Ohio Camaro/Firebird Corral ... http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=125763 (pics from the event start on page 10).

Of course, the Mid-Ohio event can't really compare to the ROLEX 24, we had a LOT of fun and the Stevenson folks (and everyone involved with Grand-Am in general) are AWESOME!!!!

^+1 I will also be down on Saturday morning. Where and when will you be?
Also you may want to put this out on some of the other Florida forums. I already put it on jacksonville and treasure coast forums but you may want to hit some more.

One of the guys that works for Brumos is in our club. We got to tour the race shop and private museum, even got to see a couple of the cars that will be inside the 50th anniversary display tent. See y'all there. I am getting excited.
