Two coats per tire... about a two hour project total. Not sure how it will hold up.

Yep just enough for two coats per tire. Dabbing seemed to work best. Not hard just time consuming.

I like it, my Dad was a tire dealer and I remember how he used to buffed/knock off the black covering on side walls for the white lettering. It was the thing to have back in the 70s. yep I said the 70s.....

I actually sort of like that, the only thing that makes it questionable is I'm not sure it looks right on such a small sidewall. I always liked the white letters on my older Camaros.

It's been out of vogue long enough (what 10-15 years), that I'm surprised some of the performance tire manufacturers haven't brought the look back yet.

And one other concern I'd have is upkeep.....Westley's Bleech-White works WONDERS on real ones, but I bet there's virtually no recourse for dirty letters without making the paint look like ass. I'd be real curious if you have an update after a couple washings.

Saw some of that... takes a lot of shaking and dabbing is the key to coverage. Did I mention prep? Scrubbed tires with bleach white and then hit the letters with a solvent.

1,2, and three coats. First on was drawn on then the dabbing began. The pen functined well... ya got the shake sh!t out of it continuously for best results.

The test patch did well with a washing with a tire brush. After some hard driving it was dinghy... I kinda liked that look... more pics to follow.

Thanks.

let us know how these hold up. Also what solvent would you use to remove the paint if you got tired of it?

We did a really cool Goodyear sidewall on some race tires and it looked very Trans Am but the upkeep was a bitch

Holding up pretty well... except for the P ZERO part. Seems somehow I am rubbing the tops of those letters off. It is the part of the tire lettering that is closest to the ground... not sure how this is happing, aggressive cornering perhaps. When I get a lull in Lee I grab a photo. The "rubbing" is universal and on every tire save driver side rear. Ideas?

Tire letter paint pens have been around for years. You can even get them in colors.

I've always liked the looks of white raised letters on tires. You hardly ever seem them any more but I still like the looks of them. Would be curious how long this stuff holds up on your tires.
