chiming or ringing noise coming from engine or trans.

all, please help. when i sustain a high RPM for example going around curvy roads in 3rd gear i keep it above 4200 rpms to retain the torque, i hear a chiming noise, kinda sound like a small bell being rung when i let off the throttle, maybe somethin is loose. any idea what this could be? should i get it checked out?

My Sierra had that when I bought it new in '02 (a metallic ringing while driving with my foot off the accelerator.) Couldn't find it and it didn't seem to have any negative impact in the 9-1/2 years I had it.

I would have to suggest having checked over by your dealer just to make sure everything is ok with the vehicle. Hopefully it isn't anything serious. Let us know if you do go in to your dealer.

This is an easy one: its your blood pressure-when elevated it often causes "ringing in the ears".
