Dyno Day Indy

Anyone interested in another Dyno Day here in Indy and more specifically with our friend Mike Norris at Mike Norris Motorsports.

Last year Oldschoolcamaro put it together with Mike and it turned out to be a pretty nice affair. Lot of cars showed up for not just dyno pulls but tunes and having some parts installed like catch cans, braided hoses etc....

Mike was a great host and he, the wife and family provide warm beverages for a cool day, Oldschool manned the grill with dogs and burgers and everyone had fun and got to see where their car stacked up. A lot of mods have taken place since then and the weather is starting to get that little bit of chill to it and the air is getting dense wit low humidity, so its time to at least get it in the making.

I'm suggesting people start to hit in now with dates (weekends of course) that would be good for this to jump off. I'm sure Oldschool would appreciate some activity on this so he can at least think about getting with Mike and making this happen again. Maybe Darth_Emma and her crew can Camarovan on over once again for a good time in Indy.

Lets hear from you and what you think on this endeavor.

Peace!

PS

Oldschool, let me know if you need anything on this end to help get this together.

I would be interested in this as I missed last year. Any weekend should be okay as long as I have some advance notice.

Perhaps I could get one of the V6 Vmax TBs ordered and installed if this takes place.

Hey All,

This all sounds good and for me, my open weekends, at least at this moment, are Oct 15th, 22nd and 29th.

Let me know and we will get it together.

Just a heads up, the CICC Picnic is scheduled for noon on Saturday 10/22 so that could affect turnout on that date...

Last year we got started around 8am I think and I had haircuts to provide, think I got there around 9:45 but the line or list was long. With tunes being done and all, I know we were there up until 2p and Mike was doing the dyno's until there were no more to do.

Hank, have you heard from OldSchool? He put it together last year and hasn't chimed in on this and I don't want to step on anyone's shoes! I know time is getting away, the days are getting short and the nights long. Before you know it will be tucked away for a long winters nap.

it's been a couple weeks since I spoke with him. About time I get ahold of him and see what's up. I do know he has been swamped at work.

I actually saw him at the Pittsboro show last weekend (he DJ'd). He said he has been really busy and has not had time to come on here much. Based off that I would think he would not mind! Aren't you retired now, Joe?

Well if you are gone the 15th, and 22nd is the CICC Picnic, looks like the 29th is the only day left!

Sorry Joe, it has been crazy as in generally the case for Sept. If you can leave the car with me this week either Weds or Thursday or next week any day (prefer early in the week M-T-W) I can get it done for you. Just let me know.

I did also just get another call where I may have to fly to Oregon to tune a car for SEMA so hopefully y'all will pick a date soon. I am trying to hold off as long as possible so we can set a date.

As of now, it seems to be the only day the works for me for sure, unless the good Lord calls me home between now and then.

Ok, here I am finally. Work has been painfully awful. So I solved that. My last day is October 21st. Looking for a new job now so I can spend time with my son. Got a few options I am working on now. Hoping something good comes of this drastic move.

Secondly, my old laptop died last week, I had to recover all the data, and I kept trying to get my password reset on C5.com and it sent me a blank temp password. So I got that fixed last night.

Today I took the day off, and low and behold, I woke up and took a cold shower. Friggin new water heater crapped out!!!! What the heck. Give me a break, please.....

So, on to Dyno day #2. Sounds like the consensus is we do it on the 29th of October. Mike, will that work or did you go ahead and make other plans for that day?

I can bring the tunes again and maybe even provide video DVDs of the dyno runs like last year.

Mike, you give the green light and we will get the folks together!

I'm pressing onward, still K.M. Hope we get some better weather before all shigady breaks out from old man winter. I took a flu shot day before yesterday and I swear on yesterday I started fealing like I was coming down with something and yet again today. You think with all the suppliments I take, vitamins and OJ I drink, I'd be safe from colds and such but last winter my butt got kicked and then again before the Hare Jam.

Anyway, when the Dyno Day comes together, let me know and be sure to let me know if you need me to do anything or bring anything. I'm right down the road from Mike's place and I need to set my haircut appointments up early this time so I can be there at the start of things.

Take care Oldschool and tell my wingman I said hey.

Peace!
