who will trade me steering wheels (for my 2012 steering wheel)

I have a 2012 on order and wondering if there are any takes to swapping steering wheels....you get my new 2012 I get your 2010 or 2011 wheel

Can anyone confirm this should be an easy swap out (providing I can find a person willing to trade)

good luck! But I seriously doubt anybody will want to give up their current wheel unless its missing an airbag The old wheel looks too nice!

No doubt someone will trade you, and the swap should be fairly straight forward.

Steering Wheel

Wow! If you listen to all the Mustang fanboys and the car magazines, the 2010/11 steering wheel was their biggest gripe! Why are you wanting to trade?

I love the 10/11 wheel. The 12 is fine too but not as unique to the Camaro.

The airbag is not the same so don't think that would work.

The airbag connectors are the same.

WeezerJ we can get together and see if the wheels will swap if you want. I'm up north a bit. I'd happily swap, I prefer the newer design wheel.

Good to know. I have talked to my local dealer and put the word out that I want to swap.

OP I'm not trying to crap your thread so don't take this the wrong way.

But I just think it's hilarious when I remember all the folks back in 09 who were whining about the steering wheel and how "hideous" it is. LOL.

Well, all that whining got the steering wheel changed over to the current monstrosity. LMFAO!

If she ordered a 2lt steering wheel via GM then she kept her airbag most likely.

2010-11 was unique to the car, thus some will hold the 2010-2011 design to be better than the 2012 since the new wheel is used in other GM vehicles as well. the 2012 design looks more up to date if you think more about the car world in general, and the 2012 design fits the interior design surprisingly well. Don't forget the C6 Corvette sports a same steering wheel design that was used in anything from a Cobalt, to G6, and HHR.
