As for the 0-7 points .. We spoted them 140 pins and of course they shot over there avg. On top of the handicap we were already spotting them . Hard to beat any team like that.
Good luck with those fingers and don't rush your return or you'll be out even longer the next time
It's HARD to give up over 100 pins AND them shooting above their average. Our team is always the high average team so we never get pins. Our team name is 'GIVING PINS'.

I've been having a ball drilled and redrilled to try and get my pitches right to eleviate my pain. Going monday to have more done.

Gonna end up with quarter revers and eighth right pitch on the thumb and ring finger zero with the middle finger eighth right.

Adding an eighth to my span as well.

Averaging 206 monday and 202 Thursday.

I bowled for the first time in 4 months last Thursday. Bowled two practice games about 3 PM.... 160, 279....then at 6 PM got asked to sub for a good friend who was in disney with his family and forgot to prebowl.

Threw the first ball in practice and thought "oh shit" as a sharp pain went up my arm from my two fingers....but decided to go on since i promised i'd bowl. Probably some of the most pain I've ever bowled through....but just wanted to get back in it after the 4 month break. Ended up shooting 229-155-222 won my first and last game and lost total by 4 damn pins (peterson point league)

Team won 26 points overall so a good night nonetheless.

Arm hurt me from Thurs night to Sunday afternoon.

Fingers pretty much healed. Bought two new balls.

Fire Road and IQ Gold.

Much tighter thumbs and revers pitch.

My arm swing is much different and so is my release. Got the ball rolling way higher. And pushing through the center too.

During all of this my averages dropped to 200 and 202.

Shot 648 Monday and 662 tonight though. Averages should start to go back up.

Sometimes you have to tear it all down to rebuild it.

One thing............. my new approach is such that drinking messes me up now.

subbed again on the same team tonight, but for a different guy who was passing a kidney stone.....and I sucked it upppppppppp.

A solid 597 against the vacant team

Thankfully since I also sucked last week, I stayed close to average and took 4 out of 5 points. Team took 28 out of 35. should move up from 3rd place to 2nd out of 28 teams!

Hey, gotta go through a rebuilding sometime. I did mine a few years back when I decided to stop trying to hook the lane and run fast as hell to the foul line....brought my average up from 190s into the 215s 220s.

Started up in a league again last month. Averaging 183 after not being in a league for 3 years. Highest past average was 194. Currently throwing a brunswick rattler first and second ball (no spare ball, never used one).

I think I need some new shoes as I have been sticking like HECK and I think hyper extending my knee. Last week I made a switch from a 3 step to 5 step approach and shot at 608 series and a 612 since.

NO idea how the ball is drilled, never looked that much into it. I got it drilled by a pro shop who watched me throw my old ball and asking me how I want it to react. I'm pretty happy with it.

Welcome . I'd say a 600series isn't bad at all after setting out for 3 years . I'll be back to my league tonight after a few weeks off with a back issue .
Post up some scores later tonight .

Thanks, glad your back is feeling better to get back into it. My current league is only a 8 week league and I'm not sure if I want to join another coming into spring and all.

My goal this year is to hit a 700 series and beat my high game 277.

synthetic. My shoes are some cheap-o shoes I bought just so I didn't have to rent them probably 4-5 years ago.

That must be the difference, The lanes I bowl on recently were redone a couple years ago which must be why im noticing this.

Well I did pretty good last night .. 225- 237- 184 = 646 . Third game had a few Splits and that put a end to a possible 700 series . Still took 5 of 7 points and that's a good thing .

Monday I shot 290 3rd game. WITH A GUTTERBALL FIRST FRAME. Ditch, then 12 racks in a row. Shot 738

Last night I had 18 strikes in a row from the first game to the second. 280, 241, ............... 169 for a 690. Split split split. Pocket 7-10 to start the third.

My practicing is starting to pay off. But my arm swing is still coming behind me do to my open shoulders without opening my arm.

Release is key with me. Reason I'll throw a sudden gutterball or get it out too far is because of early release and not being a straight back swing.

I'll get there.

Welcome Jordan,

That's really cool. TJ has my favorite approach out there. He does bring the ball straight back but he also ends up having to whip around from behind him like I do. He pulls in a bit after the draw back. Great game. Wish I had his consistency.

Last Saturday I got new shoes along with having my bowling ball resurfaced. Sunday was my league, 2nd game had the first 8 when a ball "accidentally" drops behind me. Oh well I still hit pocked but left a split. Ended up throwing a 245 opening the 9th and 10th. Shot a 624 series. First game was a 174 and 3rd was a 205.

BUUUUMMMMPPPP

It's summer so I'm home from college bowling again.... 4 weeks in, i've bowled 3 of them. Shot in order: 612 <--- first 3 games since Christmas, 643, and a 684 last week.

Feels good to be back although my arm doesn't feel the same

I'm battling lower ab/groin strain. Been having to stand close and take little slide. (hoping it's not a hernia) Ball speed is down so while my first game I can muscle it the lanes break down and I can't get the ball through the dry.

Averaging 205 and 201 on two leagues so far this summer.
