That was and is I think the selling main point.... but I guess they figured there are some who NEVER want it... so they put the label on the other side.

The product will be added to the page as soon as they can, when you click the buy now link it directs you over to another page after that, then at the bottom there is a drop down box where you can select the Range V8 Model which turns off Active Fuel Management. Give the guys some time to change the website over to reflect the Range V8 Model

I was just going off the info in the link that was posted. Probably should have waited until everything was ready!

Not a problem, i am sure Adam will chime in with what time frame it will take them to get it up with all the information everyone will need to make an informed decision!

Wouldn't deleting AFM actually decrease your MPGs?

One would think so but it would also give you the V8 you bought ALL THE TIME!

From the link posted above...

"However, our testing has shown that factory installed AFM only drops to 4 cylinders 35% of the time even though the average driver requires full performance just 10% of the time. Through a sophisticated load-based algorithm, Range allows you to drive in V4 mode 90% of the time - saving an average driver 65 gallons per year, or about $250".

What would be interesting is to combine these products WITH A SWITCH.

Would be nice to drive around town in v8 mode, but for long trips, allow it to stay in v4.

When are we going to see that product?

Just pull it out when you take a long trip. It's not like flipping a switch on the fly but it would do the trick.

We have 2 products. One that maximizes the time spent in V4 mode (Not for you guys - mostly trucks and fleets) and one that disables AFM altogether. The first one is actually what allowed us to figure out the second...

Full time V8 shouldn't result in better fuel economy. However - we have gotten reports that it does slightly. We're skeptical, but here is the post if you want to see it.

I get that. Not what I was asking though.

Combine the 2 products. switch position 1= v8 only.... switch position 2= MORE AFM as it describes for the other product on their website (90% in v4).

I would probably use the device in my Camaro AND my Avalanche. The Avalanche goes on long trips a lot... problem is that if you even breathe too much on the throttle it drops back into v8... seems like a waste.

We don't accept PayPal for business. Crazy fraud. Sorry. I can accept it personally if that's your only option. Just PM me.

Why do you want to delete it? What is the application? If it's needed and a pervasive problem, we'll definitely look into it.
