Thinkin bout adding a CAI

hey guys, just thinkin bout adding an intake. I heard they work great I was just wondering if its worth the couple of hundreds of dollars i would be spending. Im mostly looking for that deeper sound but the other benefits sound appealing as well. Let me knowwhat you think!

By far should always be the first and best upgrade on any vehicle

You'll find just about everyone on this site has changed intakes on their Camaro's. Like someone said on a previous post...most of them produce a "throaty sound" so you may want to look into performance. Jeanetty (sp?) racing has a thread on intakes and their performance. You should check it out. From what I remember it said each of them has their ups and downs. Good luck on choosing which one....haha!!

Without a doubt the best money you can spend on the car.

You engine is basically a big air pump. Making more power is all about moving more air more efficiently. The by product is great sound.

they are great and mostly easy mods... i installed an airaid and could do it almost with my eyes closed... very easy install and easy to reverse. Sounds great and airaid is a wonderful company to deal with. Great throaty sound and an increase of performance.

Cold Air Inductions, Inc. intake systems benefits:

: Tig welded aluminum air box (high luster finish reflects radiant heat)

: Insulated air box (this adding another layer of thermal (convection) protection)

: Aluminum lid with stainless steel ¼ turn fasteners (fast filter removal)

: Viewing window for fast easy filter inspection.

: High Luster ceramic coated intake tube (coated inside and out, yet another layer of thermal protection)

: Smooth bore (88.9 mm) intake tube construction (this minimizes bends and restrictions within the system)

: 8” V-stack air filter with built in velocity stack (helps reduce turbulence for truer MAF reading)

: 8 layer air filter (maximizing filtration for prolonged engine life

: LIFETIME WARRANTY

We have sold thousands of intakes, have thousands of happy customers, and incorporate design features that make our system a true Cold Air Intake. We see great #’s on the Dyno as well as the track, and can keep our intake temps within 2 degrees of ambient air due to our design features.

Check out these links as well:

Let me know if you have any questions, I would be happy to help!!
