1st to 2nd is slow

ok. I had the normal tranny 1-2 grind but i got all that fixed. Even before i had the tranny worked on going from first to second at high RPMs it seems to shift slow. like it gets caught between gears or a fraction of a sec and then it goes in gear. The tranny dont grind and shifts fine any other time. its just when i try and speed shift from 1st to 2nd. now going from 2nd into 3rd it dont pause at all. I do have a hurst shifter. is that just the nature of the tranny?

From what I understand, yes it is the nature of that tranny. Others on here would just call it junk. I'm not so sure they are wrong.

Well, for the money, I think they did a damn good job with both the 6 and 8. Yeah, they need to tweak some things, but overall, just a kickass car.

Trannys garbo for a sports car. If it was an economy car then sure, it shouldnt have to take highly aggressive shifts.

Seems like the V6 tranny isnt strong enough for the power the LLT puts out. Combine that with weak parts and you get a bad tranny. Seems like the V8 tranny can handle the stock power fine but it also has the part quality issue.
