Installed Airaid V2

So, I installed an Airaid V2 yesterday, and really like it so far. I'm still taking it easy to break it in, but I really like the sound. In a few more days, I'll see what I think of it's performance and fuel mileage. I bought it used, and the seller didn't send the side brace, but it's on the way. It seems pretty solid without it, but I'll feel better once it gets here, and I put it on. Now I'm thinking of adding a tube from the foglight to the intake. Should I get rid of the factory snorkel, or keep it and add the foglight air tube? Anybody done this with an Airaid?

Thanks.

mydreamcar,

Thanks man. I figured it would be here today or tomorrow, that's why I went ahead with the installation.

Thanks again for the great deal and communication. You're definitely an asset to this forum.

Actually what were all the parts you used and pop riveted to the airbox its self?

It's regular air duct material. You can find all over on fleabay. I got mine along with the naca inlets from "ButlerBuilt Motorsports".

Beauwulf, very nice mods. How did it affect performance? I may have to do this.

Lowered IAT temp by 15* or so. No CEL and no loss of power from hi iats. I have one more step to go with this mod. I intend to seal the system to see if it can generate positive pressure (ram effect) in the box at speed.
