Too much of a good thing!

I guess I've been lucky this race season as nobody was measuring the sound level, but during the BC Championship autocross at our local race pad, I got the hook. Everyone has commented on how nice the Pypes cat back exhaust sounds, but there were some hints about it being too loud.

Blew 95+db!

So, what do you do?? Weld in a set of Magnaflo 6" diameter x 14" long resonators. I went to Muffler Tech in PoCo and Ryan, the owner, did the work. The new Pypes/Maganflo set up is very very nice. What makes it perfect is that Ryan suggested that I get all the joints welded up between the cat and the tip. The sound is rich, deeper and welding up all the joints got rid of the popping sounds (which Ryan says is a result of the leaks at the joints). It really does sound like a muscle car now. The Pypes by themselves were just plain nasty as it was very loud. Still no drone in the cabin and won't wake up the entire neighborhood when I leave a 6:30am to go racing.
