Air filter cleaning
What have you guys been using to clean your aftermarket filters? The K&N kits?

K & N have their own cleaning and re-oiling kits you can buy. (If your using an oiled filter)

I don't run K&N anymore due to they constantly mess with the MAF from the oil in them, but they do sell a cleaning kit you can use. It's pretty simple to clean them.

Yeah I would use a cleaning kit, or if the CAI company sells filters just but a new one from them.

Cool. Appreciate all the suggestions peeps. Yeah if they sell a new filter for a reasonable price I'll just go that route. I've had experience with the oily MAF on other cars too.

I've had K&N on all my vehicles for years without any problems with oil on the maf. My Canyon I bought new is now 4 years old. Its had a K&N on it since new. I clean it about every 6 months. You have to be getting it really wet with way to much of the red oil in order for it to get on the maf. And that's no big deal either. If you do over do it you take out two screws, take the maf out. Spray it down real well with maf cleaner. Let it dry (drys in seconds) put it back in and go on your way. Its really no big deal.

Yeah not a big deal. I use a q-tip with alcohol on it. Just tedious I guess.
