New Pistol grip Shifter with Tap Shift Installed

Hi all....I just finished installing my new Pistol Grip Shifter with Tap Shift from CFD(Cartersfabanddesign) and I just want to say "What A Difference)!! I looked at the new paddle shifters from Hurst, but the paddles on STILL on the steering wheel(And that is what I wanted to get away from)!! I use my tap shifters 95% of the time while I am driving and this set up is SO MUCH EASIER to use!! Especially when you are turning!! This is well worth the investment compared to the Hurst unit! And George, the owner, is wonderful to work with. Took me about 1 1/2 hrs to install, took the car for a ride, and just LOVE It!!!! I would highly recommend this product to anyone that uses the tap shifter a lot!!!

install is ez..it normally takes about 1:to 2 hrs..but not hard labor,,mine took a tad longer,,:(( duh,,,cause i dropped the oem shifter holding screw into shift boot area..ARRGGGHHHHHH!!:((( so i had to go to true value for new one that fit,,other then that,,easy..now i can keep hand on wheel,,and other on shifter and up and down shift as i make a turn..))))))))))))))))

I just told the hubby that this is what he's giving me for Christmas, birthday, anniversary, whichever comes first. I've already PM'd George to let him know to expect an order from me soon! This is just what I've been wanting, I don't use my tapshift as much as I'd like!

How much is it. I love it and makes sense. It will be easier to use instead of the ones on the wheel. Thanks for sharing it with us buddy.

Hi all, Denny, Rydahog. Thanks for your great reviews. I am so glad your enjoying your shifters. When I first designed the original shifter it was for my personal use and loved it I had no idea they would catch on this much. All I know for fact is I couldn't imagine driving my car without one now and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do, it's not a fad that wears off, it's part of driving just like using the gas and brakes.

Thanks again, George
