2012 v6 exhaust

will any v6 exhaust made for 2010-11 fit on the 2012? and is a 500$ exhaust system worth it for a v6?

$500 is actually on the cheap side for an exhaust. Most full high quality full cutback systems are over $1000.

No one can answer that truly but you. We all say what we decided. It takes a long long time to decide what you like. Listen to videos and try to hear one in person.

After my time searching I went with the MRT V2's. But again it's all up to you

MRT axle back is the best sounding system IMO. And those who have voted on many of the threads in the past will tell you the samething. But to each there own.

Everything from the cats back should be the same.

Also keep in mind it will be difficult to know how some of the exhaust parts made for the 2010-2011 V6 (LLT) will sound on the 2012 V6 (LFX). I imagine the axlebacks and maybe the full cat-backs will sound similar. When in doubt, contact the manufacturer of each exhaust system so you know which ones are guaranteed to fit and not just assumed to fit.

DevilKnightFalcon – We actually have more engineers and R&D staff than nearly any other exhaust company in the aftermarket. Every muffler and system is not only tested on the dyno, they are also tested in the real world at our R&D center – on the street and the track.

As for pricing, Flowmaster exhaust kits are less expensive than the competing exhaust systems for a few different reasons. First, there is economy of scale. We sell way more product than any of the brands mentioned above – and as a result can offer more competitive pricing. We also use a different type of stainless steel for construction. The competition uses T304 stainless steel which polishes to a nice finish, but is more susceptible to thermal expansion and has some memory loss from heat cycling. We choose to use T409 stainless steel (which is less expensive) for our systems and do not have fitment problems associated with thermal expansion. All of the Flowmaster kits and mufflers listed as “409S Stainless Steel” also come with a Lifetime Warranty.

We hope that clears up anyone's concerns about pricing of exhaust systems.
