Is the IOM interior on the IOM exterior overkill? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

What are your opinions on the IOM interior? I like it a lot, but I don't think I'd want it on my IOM. That might be TOO much orange for me. But I think it might look cool on the black exterior.

I have seen it on other colors, and it looks quite impressive. It will go perfectly with IOM. There are many conversations about it, and for anyone who likes orange it is a must have.

Too much imo. You need another color to make it stand out.

Def depends on the viewer, but the more you look at it, it looks reddish to me too. I think it makes each car look a little more outstanding, if you like your things to match and look good, go with it. I for sure, am way excited, its just something a little less plain jane

I've got it coming on a black exterior and I'm afraid it will be a bit much sometimes, like Carrot top is riding shotgun 24/7. IMO Orange on Orange, no way, TMO.

I ordered it then changed my order once I saw some pics. I think it would be fine if only the center seat and back panels were orange. With the wrap around you portions (does that make sense?) orange too I think it is just to bright. The orange stitching on the steering wheel and shifter looks awesome though. I like the stitching on the seats too except for my aforementioned hang up. SS/RS IOM black rallys, with clutch

I hope it looks good my car will be orange in an out with cyber grey stripes and rs I just hope the midnight silver rims look good with the cyber grey stripes.

Yup...orange all the way with black stripes to be painted on later. The factory hockey stripes are a matte finish and don't have a thin border line around them. I'm just wondering if ralley strips and hockey stripes would look good or not.

I think it looks awesome. I ordered IOM/IO 2SS/RS with black stripes. Hey didn't the Mole say this was his favorite combination? Anyway, it depends on your personality I guess. I really love the all black interior too, so I was torn but I needed something a little louder. The more I see it, the more I love it.

I'm positive after waiting on this car as long as everyone has, they won't be getting tired of anything for a long time.

What I'd like to know is, how easy is it to swap out the acrylic panels for the cloth ones. After seeing Number 3's pics of the black exterior with IOM interior I love it, but would like the ability to buy an extra set of interior panels and swap between the orange acrylic and the black cloth whenever I wanted. Anyone know if they just snap in, or does it take a special tool to remove them?

Nope...not overkill. I saw it today at the Austin Auto show and was REALLY impressed.

I thought it might be overkill too....until I saw it.

I'd REALLY love to see this interior in a black car w/ IOM rally stripes. THAT would be killer!

In my opinion, GM offered orange to match the orange exterior because they knew it would very sharp. It is something different and somewhat unique compared to the standard black/beige/grey colors that most cars have.

On the other side of the coin, I showed the orange interior picture to my father, and his response was "That is hideous."

IOM with IOM dash and door inserts with white seat inserts would be my choice...........but then its all a matter of individual taste.

I think it's an awesome color to see, but I wouldn't own a bright collored car. I don't know why, I never have, and don't want to. I'm too stuck on the dark (maroon, black, gray, etc). I am getting IOM inside my CGM 2SS/RS black stripes....OOOO YYYEAAHH!! GIGITY...GIGITY

I think it is overkill. I like the gauges and the orange around the dash and doors though and wish that was an option with black seats. However since it isn't, I'll have to go aftermarket to get those and keep the black seats I'll be gettng..
