Considering SLP Loudmouth

Want a better sound out the rear. I have pretty much narrowed it down to the following set-up:

3 inch catback system from SLP, SLP PowerFlo-X pipe. Part numbers are:

30220 , 31211 , 30222

Anyone with this exact set-up out there ? How's the drone ? How are you liking it thus far ?

Loudmouth will drone for sure but the set up will sound tuff for sure. I'd recomend some other options first. Are you a manual or auto?

I have this setup and there is NO drone. There are no mufflers too drone.

davidmk001, you posted on my youtube video before right? Well this setup its great if you want to have loudest with out touching your cats. Its not as loud in low revs, but when you get on it, it pretty loud! I love it!
Did you see this video?

Are you an auto or a manual. I've been in a few 5th gens with Loudmouth axlebacks and they had drone for sure. Mufflers don't make drone its a combination of the accustics of the entire exhaust system from the engine back. Some people don't notice it much but it depends on your driving habits and what not. I had a car that droned bad and I did a bit of highway driving everyday. It killed me. Every car is different though and Loudmouth sure does sound good.

Hi linkwpc - yeah I did. Wanted to ask around for more feedback. However I do agree with you when you say that you love it as that's one sweet a$$ set up you have. Never saw that vid b4. thanks for posting. Any interior driving ? I'm torn between the SLP and Solo.

With the L99 you will get the dreaded drone with most aftermarket exhausts but I understand Borla has no drone. Or what I have- Solo J-pipes. With Solo J-Pipes there's NO DRONE at any RPM. Anything else and you will not be happy IMO.

I had the loudmouths and I liked them. I personally head lil drone. But drone is not a devastating issue to me like it is with everyone else. It was fairly quiet but sounded good.

I just installed my SLP loudmouths yesterday and I love them. It is hard to keep my foot out of it, but I love the off idle growl and the full throttle roar. There is drone to it and I have a manual trans in my car. I like the drone so I don't mind but to each their own. At 1500-2000 the drone is pretty loud in my car...the SLP I got is basically a straight pipe if that is the one you are looking at. I saw ones that were more expensive that had mufflers on them and I said forget it I'll just go with the straight pipes with SLP. I originally was going to go with the flowmaster outlaws but the delivery time from summit racing was in October and I am impatient. I am pleased with my choice.

Cool thanks guys! Glad to hear everyone likes their set-up!

And as for me w/ drone, I guess I don't mind SOME but excessive would really bother me. I'll post some vids / sound clips when i get this all finalized in the next week or two. Got to act fast though, almost time for the garage :(

I have this set up and then added the SLP LT headers. It is loud and has a drone above 55 but I LOVE IT!!! Sounds incredible but loud. If you want aggressive, this is honestly the best I have heard and Im not just saying it because I have it. I have had TONS of compliments on the sound.

No man I don't have an interior video, the drone is noticeably louder than stock but its not irritating. You can still listen to the radio comfortably without having to turn it up so loud that you have to blow your speakers to overcome the exhaust. You will like it once you get it.

We have yet to have a drone complaint with the Stainless Works Retro Chambered cat back. It is an aggressive system like the Loud Mouth but is made of a higher grade stainless and in my opinion sounds better.

I have the complete SLP exhaust with LT headers x-pipe HF cats and loudmouth mufflers. I think it sounds great. It has a slight drone at 2000rpms when crusing at 80 but other than that it sounds bad a$$.

Yo have you considered loudmouth 2's?

The original loudmouth's live up to their names as they are LOUD, because they have no mufflers on them.

But if your looking to have a muscle car sound that is not TOO loud, and not quiet either; you should really consider SLP Loudmouth II.

I've got em and i'm very happy with them, the drones aren't a real issue, and the car sounds mean.
