Search U tube and this forum. There is a thread with almost every type of exhaust out there.

Cat back exhaust systems do not add any power. Find the one that sounds the best to you. I like my flow masters but always have been a flow master fan.

Visit a local club or car show. If you see a Gen5 ask the owner if he has an after market exhaust. If he does, Im sure he'd be willing to start the car for you and let you hear it.

If you listen to the exhaust on the internet, the sound is going to change depending what type of speakers your computer is supporting.

Agreed with Pollock above. Go here:
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21289

and you can see all kinds. I ended up going with the SOLO Cat Back for our convertible and we love it. Was between that and the Borla "S" type for us..but the SOLO is built for little to no drone...and that was key. Unhappy wife equals...well..you get the rest. Here's a clip of our SOLO:

And here is information on the SOLO Cat Back: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?p=3473916#post3473916

and Axle Back : http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?p=3459809#post3459809

both with videos. I'm pretty sure the MACH XL for the coupe sounds similar.

I have a L99. How does the Solo cat-back sound when the dreaded AFM kicks in and out? Would the solo axle back be better for the AFM?

IMO no system sound good when the AFM kicks in. I'd tune it out but Solo stays pretty quite inside the car in general making it some what manageable.

L99 + Solo high flow cats + Solo Mach XL exhaust = win!!

The video does an OK job of illustrating the sound. It is much more awesome in person! The Mach XL with J-pipes technology truly negates the drone.

I'm very impressed and would recommend to any Gen 5 Camaro L99/A6 owner looking for an exhaust solution that "smashes" the drone and delivers that old school muscle car sound.

Keep in mind, that the install of the cats and exhaust does not require a tune or void the warranty. Win... win!!

The team at Solo Performance is outstanding to work with and are champions of customer service.

Solo Performance mods installed:

- V8 Automatic Stainless Steel Mach XL with J-Pipes
- V8 Automatic L99 High Flow Catalytic Converters

Recommend Flowmaster American Thunder, full 3" cat back. The best classic muscle car rumble for Camaro, as far as I've heard.

Somewhat manageable ?? I have Solo and there is no drone on my L99.
I've yet to hear anyone here say they have drone with a Solo system.

youtube has a lot of exhaust clips, thats how I selected my cherry bomb extremes. They are not glasspacks and only costs $400 for whole system cat-back. I love the sound.

Love my Corsa LS3 with LT's on my L99, but wish I went with Flowmaster which is louder.

Looks like I'm the first with Stainless Works to chime in here.. The SW retro chambered cat back has a nice deep growl to it. I may be the first to say this about this system (from what I've read on here anyway) but I would say there is some drone with this system but only really when accelerating in the ~1.3k- ~2k rpm range but its not unbearable. Overall I'm very happy with this set up and wouldn't trade this exhaust for any other out there.

I do agree with what others have said though.. Try to hear some of these exhausts in person if at all possible.

I was referring to the AFM sound not drone. Solo is drone free but I was commenting on how I can't stand the AFM sound with any exhaust but with the Solo system it's somewhat bare-able.

I never could hear the AFM kicking in and out when my exhaust was stock on my L99. I still can't hear it now with the Solo exhaust but I know this varies from car to car.
It might have something to do with mine being an early 2010.

Dude, if you want a muscle car sound i would recommend either Flowmasters, or MBRPs.

In my opinion they give a strong pitched tone that just screams muscle car.

I've got SLP Loudmouth 2s on my L99...but i regreted buying them from my manufacturer as my knowledge on the aftermarket grew later on

Flowmaster & MBRP = Best Sound

Agreed! No drone at all with my Solo cats and exhaust. Managing isn't even a concern... unless we're talking about managing the new found fun with uncorking my Camaro.
