Exclamation Full roller Rockers or trunion upgrade?

I am in the middle of my cam swap and should I install my trunion upgrade on my factory rockers or just go for it and buy full roller rockers?

Edit: Wow I just saw how much they cost. A little higher than I thought. Do they give you any noticeable gains?

i didn't go with a trunoin upgrade with my cam. some say upgrade them, some say you really don't have to with just a cam. my shop said they have seen more failures with after market trunoins over stock. lol

Never heard of that until now.

With all due respect your shop could have been to lazy to due the upgrade.

well, they would have made more money on the install. if it makes you feel better do the install. but when i went to my shop and they have like 15 camaros in there shop getting work every time i went there. i feel like they know what they are talking about.

this is like the thing with oil pumps.

I to understand GM has corrected the issue. I don't know what I will do. Probably a game time decision. The trunion kit came with my cam package. I was thinking to not put them in then put in better rocker arms later.

Rocker upgrade

My LS7 has .668 lift cam and double wire comp springs. The factory GM rockers with trunion upgrade working fine at 7200 rpm.

Do the trunion upgrade, just a little extra insurance. It only takes like 30 min or so to do them once you get the first one done.

Scorpion makes a much better aluminum rocker for the LS3 than Harland Sharp.

If you feel the need for steel roller rollers, wait a bit for their release and use the Comp Ultra-Pro magnum steel rocker with their guide plate and push rod package.

I have always used an aftermarket rocker arm on my builds. To me it is worth the dependability, reliability and performance. But then again, I try to use the best parts that I can. Yella Terra makes a great set of rocker arms for these engines. Here is a picture of their product. Look at the difference between the shaft on the Yella Terra and the Harland Sharp. Which shaft would you want on your car?
