You can also take advantage of our ColorSHIFT halo kit sale price when doing this upgrade as well!

This is a good deal for all that you get. I've had this basic setup (Morimoto projectors and bulbs, Oracle ballasts and wiring) for right at a year now. They've worked flawlessly together. One of the best mods I've done to my car. Absolutely LOVE them!

I used the Mini H1 projectors but if I had it to do over again I would go with the DS2 like what comes with this kit.

The only suggestion I would have is to use the GTI-R shroud instead of the Gattlen Gun.....even if it costs more. At least I would use them if you're going to stay with a Chrome housing. If you paint it black that might be another story.

BTW: I didn't see any mention of bulb color here but personally I think the 5000k are perfect. I went from 8000k, to 6000k, and ended up with 5000k. The LED fogs that AAC sells for the non-RS are a real close match with the 5000k bulbs. Probably a perfect match for 4300k but the 5000k has that ever so slight hint of blue that looks much better IMO.

$489 installed.

Yes, normally black is the choice customers make so that the lights look like RS headlights.

do you have any pictures of retrofits you have done? The picture you provided in the beggining of post looks like its the inside of the rs headlight. I just want to see the non rs headlight shroud painted in black
Thanks

I've been inside my RS headlight and I can assure you that the picture provided IS a non RS. However, I'd still like to see the final product with halos, sealed, and mounted on a car though. Just out of curiosity.

Taken from when I replaced my stock halos with Oracle's LEDs, that is the RS. Not sure if you can tell, but the black bezel in the RS is flatter. The non RS is deep because it is basically the mirrored backing painted.

No I know the picture above is of a non rs. Sorry for the confusion. I was talking about the first picture of the post. Which shows the interior of a rs headlight painted in ion color. I was asking for a picture of a non rs shroud painted in black to see if the squares in the chrome housing are clearly visible or not. Does that make sense now?

That is the first picture in iom color. That is not an RS headlight.

Oh, got your PM earlier. Did not know which thread you were referring to.

Everything that is included is listed, itemized, photographed, and hyperlinked in post #1

... not sure how to get more detailed on what is included than that

is there any way that i could get the headlights back without y'all resealing them? I already took apart one set in order to put halos in and am not sure if i want to do it again.

I have been looking to do this retro-fit to our extra set for a while now. I just have a hard time justifying paying the $169 for the halo install when i have already done it once and have everything ran.

also, what would be the price difference from have the housing painted SGM compared to satin black?

Thanks!

When you get the Halo installation you get the package discount which nets you $60 off the entire price so you are not actually paying full price for the Halo installation.
If you would rather us leave the lights open for you we can do that as well.

There is a $45 difference between Satin Black and SGM.
