Completely Stock, issue with steering!

Recently, my car has had a small issue with steering pop up. Whenever I am changing directions or first turning the wheel, there is a bit of a grind and a little noise. It goes away quickly, it is just on the transition. It kind of feels like something might be loose or rubbing. Also, it seems to go away when the car is warm.

I am completely stock and no accidents or hard hits or anything.

Thoughts? And thanks in advance

Grinding? Strange noises when turning the wheel on the car as it sits bone stock? Probably time to take it into the dealer and have them check it out while it's under warranty.

I understand that, but I really don't like taking it in if at all possible. If it is just a loose nut or a bushing or something that I should look for, I'd rather do it myself.

Sounds almost like rust on the rotors/pads that happens when they sit for a while. Work it off with a few stops and the noise goes away. That would be my guess without feeling/hearing it for myself.

A busted suspension doesn't get better when warm.

I like the idea of the rust, but I have felt that before and this is different. I am probably going to take it in as I'm afraid it might have to do with the power steering, either the pump or belt or something. But still looking for ideas.
