Looking at going with the Vmaxx TB. Is this upgrade worth doing. Not excepting major HP gains but would be happy with crisper throttle response. Any problems after install? Thanks in advance for your input.

I put mine on over the weekend along with a cai and scoop. It was definately snappier. I'm sure the cai played a part in that but I think it was worth the buck fifty. No cel's, careful not to over tighten the bolts, they don't need much torque.

Added 4rwhp and 4rwtq with mine. Worth it. The throttle response was very noticeable!

recently installed the same mods here and definitely some more power and quicker throttle response.

Not sure about the HP increase although several before and after dyno tests prove it to be beneficial. I definitley noticed throttle response improvement.

Figure that's on par for the cost of what a CAI is supposed to do for you. $300+ for a CAI and an advertised gain of 8+ HP. It will be one of my next mods, although I will be likely be getting it and the SCT tuner from JRE and one of his tunes to go along. And the bonus of a snappier throttle response doesn't hurt either.

How much is he charging for the core exchange? He is very close to me, so I could go that route.

You happy with the throttle response? After all the cars I have had, the one thing I didnt complain about with this car was throttle response, but I guess it can always be better? lol

I bought my Vmax from Jannetty and the transaction was flawless. The throttle response was unbelievable. I read elsewhere that a car with the Vararam CAI will make 10Hp with the Vmax. I am not sure if the Vmax qualifies for a Jannetty email tune or not...worth checking into.

I've had mine for a few months. I didn't notice a difference at first with the vararam on the car. Now I have the intake off for cleaning and I definitely notice a difference in low end response with the stock air box.

I got mine from SC2150. I definetly feel a big difference in throttle response. And they did an awesome job on the paint.

Bought mine from Janetty. Not sure about before and after HP numbers, most folks report minimal gains but noticeable throttle response.

I actually didn't notice any change, but for the money, it sure looks cool painted to match the car.

Wow that install looks nice w/the CGM paint!!

V6's are running about 2 weeks right now and the V8's are usually ready to ship any time. Paint adds a day or two and RX (SC2150) & Jannetty offer the painted option.

I have had mine on for six months or so now and it has been trouble free since day one. Good sharp throttle response and what I can only describe as a more precisely controlable feel to the throttle. Bottom line,,, glad I spent the money.

I saw a noticeable difference in mine. The paint will add HP but the extra weight of the paint will rob that HP and no gains there.
