TSP Small bore LS7 heads

Since there aren't any numbers anywhere on the web, I figured I'd just let everyone know that I'm going to flow them myself just so there's something out there, and get some good pictures. Very excited to have Texas Speed doing my 429 build, should make outstanding power. Should see these heads in two weeks or so, iplaced my order this morning.

Great to hear you have a set going!

These heads are a little bit different compared to the MAST heads. These heads were built specifically for the LS3 bore sizing where the MAST uses a 2.1" valve & goes on a much smaller bore. The PRC LS7 small bores are configured specifically for ls3 strokers in minds. It gives a proven port that has time & time shown to be one of the most powerful out there the ability to run on a LS3 bore.

GMHTP magazine needs to do a CNC/hand ported GM heads VS Mast heads VS PRC LS7 small bore heads shoot out. It would be interesting to not only see how they stack up Hp wise but money wise. "Are aftermarket cast heads worth the money"?

At Jason, how well do these heads wok on the stock shortblock with the 231-236 cam, a fast intake and full exhaust? Are they too much for a stock block, are they meant only to run on strokers? My mods are in my sig, pm me if you think they will work with my set up!

Check out the fast list and find Texas Speed on the modified with no power adder and got to their post... PRC LS7s on stock bottom end

Question: can these heads be used on a L99 with DOD delete and keep the VVT?

I'd really really like to run a big plenum ram like the holley or edelbrock but they only make them for cathedral and ls3 ports, so since I can't afford $2500 for a sheet metal, it's going to be a fast 102/102 for now.

Thats why I asked. I would like to run the Holley intake on mine. Have you looked at the MAST Intakes? A bit spendy but definately cheaper than sheetmetal. If I go with an ls7 style head its probably the route I will take.

Mast intakes are just as much as a sheetmetal. Still looking at $3000. I'd just have a lower fabbed to mate to the holley 105mm hi ram top. At any rate, i expect to beat tsp's time by at least 5 tenths and claim the #1 spot all motor. We'll see.

I just checked their site. The 2 piece CNCd intakes are 1750.00 for LS3 or LS7 heads for either a 4150 or 4500 style TB.

Let me know what you find on making the Holley intake work on the LS7s. If that is an option then I may be interrested as well. I'm no where near starting on motor stuff right now. Just kickin some ideas around. Building the rest of the car 1st. Hopefully will be able to get on top of the "Bolton" list before I do any motor work

You cant DBW a 4500 accufab (on top of hood issues), and it's pointless to put an elbow and throttle body on a n/a motor because you'd never get even cyl distribution , so the mast intake is out. Marcella wants 3400 for his take on the intake, Beck intake is 2650, and both are about four months out on production... looks like it's going to be a ported FAST 102, at least for the time being

Here's a shot of a completed marcella LS7 to fit this car. Completely hand made.

Can we not switch over to a cable TB with the stock PCM?

Those intakes are SEXY! I can't afford them either lol

I think the FAST LS7 intake is a pretty good part. Try it out for a while before deciding to swap intakes, you might find that overall you prefer it.
