That is so sweet. I agree is does look a little better in lighter colors with regards to the hood. Still HOT!

If you read that info on the BJ website,it says the winning bidder gets his/her ZL1 delivered to a dealer in or near there hometown. That car at Mandalay Bay is probably a pre-production car.Still looks great in that Carbon Flash paint.I think it will go over $200K.--

I miss aqua blue metalic. That would be my pick. Brazen orange metalic would look hot on the ZL1 too.

Well once again my disabled veteran ass is disappointed with GM, only way for redemption now is a brighter blue, kinda like the blue devil ZR1 but not that bright and not as dark as IBM. Oh what does it matter anyways need a job before I can afford it and by then all ZL1s will be made and sold. Would be nice for once to catch a break and things look up for a change. Sad served my country for 13 years, spent 2 years in combat, and other places yet can't find a damn job that has benefits and decent salary.

Wow!! I feel like I took a picture of a supermodel or something... I get my pics posted on the homepage and credit! (All taken with an iPhone lol)

I went to the show just to check out some awesome classic cars for auction... I didn't think that I was gonna be running into the much hyped ZL1.... nice surprise

I agree 100% that's why im going with white, ssx wheels, and black stripe all the way across

That color is unbelievably Hot.

And strangely enough...I think those pictures sealed the deal for me regarding the color I'd like to get. Dark colors look great on the ZL1, even with the hood insert...IBM it is!!!

Easy.

CFM is a special color ONLY for the 45th anniversary Camaros. It cannot be ordered without the 45th package...at least so far...and apparently...the 45th anniversary package will not be available on the ZL1...

Why not have a 45th anniversary package available? That one...I'm clueless on. I'm sure there's a reason - I just don't know it.

Sometimes it pays to be colorblind! But, I also have spent a lot of time pondering the colors - interior is easy (any color you want as long as it's black.) Exterior wise I was really digging IOM but really leaning to the new cyber gray metallic shade from BASF. I think the subtle contrast between the grays and blacks is bad! With polished wheels will be smokin' hot. I plan to negotiate a set of the black SSX wheels too. Change the wheels based on the mood! Any word yet on what will be standard ZL1 wheels and which will be optional?

Its been quoted that the SSX wheels will come standard with polished optional. I have read it several times on this site. I believe that came from a GM rep at one of the car shows.

Yes, I already knew that.....that's why I put the blurb in about the 100th Ann. being available on all Corvette performance levels but the 45th Ann. only being available on the V6 and SS.

And like you, I would LOVE to know what thought (or lack of ) went into the decision making process of not making it available on the ZL1.

Perhaps, the ZL1 is only the 2nd year addition with 69 being the first??? e.g. it truly got skipped by accident... LOL. . I guess the important thing is the performance and handling are taking care of. I am sure in time, people will forget what happened (or lack thereof...).

OldSchiool you're so right on this. Opportunities/Timing like this are far and few between. I absolutely hated what the auto industry did starting in 1971. Went to real low compression, massive cubic inches to make up for it but still a FAIL.

FYI.. im glued to the TV tonite! Barrett Jackson full of Chevy commercials. Looks like they mean business! Oh what shall Ford do? They have but ONE sports car.

Careful...someone's gonna jump in here and start yelling at you about how the ZL1 isn't a sports car, or a muscle car, or a supercar, or an exotic....

I wonder...does that make it so good it defies all known labels?

What I am loving to see is how GM is telling us to STOMP the pedal to the floor... encouraging us to test the 5 yr 100k warranty. Amazing!

What GM IS SAYING is it is a car that you can STOMP and RACE if you are prepared! Because the car is prepared!!
