Will there be an opportunity to take fast laps around the track in a non-race setting?

Or does anyone know of a road course 'close enough' where we could have some time on it? Not complaining about all the work that went into CFestIII planning, it's just the strip and cones aren't my thing!

C5Fest is about community. It is a social event with some car action as opposed to car action with some social activity. A road course day requires complete focus. It is a one person event no matter how many people are there. As always, this is nothing more than my opinion.

True, but one of my high lights from C5F II, next to the road trip and the parking lot party.

You don't have to sell me on the size of a grin at a road course Nope not big enough.

The flip side to that is I find them exhausting from the triple anal maintenance and safety checks of the car I am driving to the focus of on course perfection. I don't like to speak with anyone before a session. I want to concentrate. It is a lot like a locker room. Some zone out with tunes and headphones. Others want to be alone and find quiet places. Others need to get pumped with other players. Some pray. Whatever it takes to get game ready.

Then again, maybe I take this stuff too seriously. I never drive at events we host because I feel I can't bring the level of focus to the track when I am the host of an event focused on my guests. Everyone is different. There is no right and wrong.

I understand what you are saying........I have friends who will hit the road track and get all quiet a little bit before the start. I on the other hand deal have the exact opposite demeanor before a start. I will be interacting with the fellow drivers and looking around enjoying the landscape or checkin out the other rides. But my friends and instructors have commented that I am very focused once the pedal goes down.

Funny thing is on any track, drag or road, the race will actually feel a lot slower as if time slows down around me and I will observe the weirdest little things going on, on or off the track. Weird.

No road course...

This track is not user friendly so to say and we are only looking out for everyone’s safety.

It's definitely in the plans. We missed it last year, dearly. :(
