WHAT' THIS HOLE FROM??!?!

Hey guys, I know it's useless without pics but I can't get them to upload right now but I just noticed this hole that was cut into my front fenderwell at the bottom on the drivers side. (to the front of the tire)

Is there a cold air that would require this???? The ADM scoop??? I bought my car used. It has the stock Air Intake on now but what gives!?

That would make sense, when I had a couple of cobras you could get CAIs that would drop down like that.

Is the hole in the wheel liner or on the front bumper. There is no reason why you should have a hole in your wheel well.

Are you talking about the plastic inner fender? The ADM scoop is cut into the plastic that you see behind the lower grill.

It's cut into the inner fender plastic wheel well liner. It is about 6" x 8" and is cut open like an upside down letter "u" that opens to the bottom.

Sounds like the previous owner tried to open up the air filter cavity to get more air in. You are probably going to get a lot of dirt and water in there off of the tire. I would buy a new inner liner and replace it and then add the ADM scoop.

That's not for the ADM race scoop. I have no idea what that is for. Quick question. Is this where the hole is?

No I do not have a hole in mine, that is a picture I stole from another thread. Two things: A) that hole is not supposed to be there, and B) get a new wheel well liner. I checked out the price for you on www.gmpartshouse.com, they are $46 --> LINK. You don't want water getting anywhere near your CAI, I'd recommend getting a new liner ASAP.

That hole is not supposed to be there. Someone put a cold air intake (injen or AEM) that runs below the wheel well and someone decided to cut the well for more air...looks like just more dirt on the filter if anything. I have the injen setup on my car.

Optional rust inducing mod.

Yeah, that wasn't a really good idea to go chopping that big of a hole in the fender well.
