Legal exhaust upgrades in California

I own a 2011 SS and am really wanting to get rid of the 'exhalation' system on this thing. Too much restriction! I currently am looking at AMR's complete system, minus the mufflers. However, it is illegal in California. I am just wondering if anyone knows of a legal header and cat upgrade in california for my Camaro.

does the complete set up include cats or no? i have SLP LM1 which is basically a muffler delete. It is legal in CA and it is a heck of a lot louder than stock. However i wanna go louder now.

the manufacturer knows where there stuff is legal, your best bet is to get an idea of what you want, and ask someone like jannetty, or anthony at ************.com or just the manufacturer directly. anything legal in cali is stamped because it is a pretty big deal to pass their ridiculous standards.

If it moves the cats .000000001", it is illegal in CA. You can replace the headers with shorties and a Cat back system, or take your shot a getting away with your exhaust system until it has to be smog checked in 5 years.

Do not move or change the cats and you are OK in CA. All cat back exhausts are OK.

Stainless Works long tube headers w/high flow cats
borla atak catback

after I got all that... I got registered in Texas..... presto... problem solved!

Ease of installation

So, if I were to get long tube headers, could I install those on my own? That is why I got this car in the first place, I wanted to work on it when I had the money and/or time. How do you deal with warranty issues? If I were to take my car in with long tubes on it, would that not void the warranty?
