Does anyone know if the 2010 camaro will have it? It is shown in the ignition sequence video on youtube.

There is a universal HUD: google VSD HUD and it will take you there.

The hud last I checked is slated for a dec time frame release.

There's been a lot of speculation that it will be out this December or for the 2011's but it's hard to say if GM is even sure about that at this point. If you are waiting for HUD, or thinking about it keep in mind that there have been no offical announcements that the Camaro will get a HUD, and definately no solid dates. It is a nice feature to think about for those of us stuck waiting though.

here is a bit of history for ya. Camaro's history is all about cheap winning performance. It has always been the performance car for the guy who knows how to use a wrench. Its not about the options, its meant to be a bare bones sports car. Let the corvette or bmw handle the frilles. Just my 2 cents...
And because of that i didnt even get the sunroof option

I don't mind HUD...my old man has had vettes over the years and I have always enjoyed them. I don't mind if it doesnt have HUD, but its a cool feature to have.

HUD is awesome if it includes the tach and you have a six speed. The one I had in my 1990 240SX had speed only, which I can live without. But it would be cool having the tach on the wind sheild to keep your eyes forward while shifting. Does anyone know if the Vette has the tach in the HUD??

the c6 i test drove last summer I believe had it and a gforce meter too... on my Gran Prix GTP it had the tach and radio station and temp and stuff and you could change the display too....

That is sweet, I hope I do not regret not waiting. Do you think they will make it a dealer installable option for first year buyers, I am sure it is all there.

That I would think would be pretty hard to do being I think it is a special windshield for it and you would have to pretty much replace the whole dash.. if you want one you could get one of the aftermarket ones Im sure someone on here knows the name of it or you could search youtube and there are some vids on there of the aftermarket HUD

That's right, there is a reflective area on the wind shield. Unless there is a mylar type of strip that adheres to the inside of the wind shield.....we will have to see.

HUD is amazing, especially with the C6's, i love how they have the corvette flags on it when you start it up. and alll the settings. but, not amazing enough for me to not buy a camaro.
