Ginger makes 426 rwhp/422 rwtq on a budget!

Got to dyno my car down ARD in Houston the day before the Texas Camaro Nationals. I was only hoping for 410rwhp /400 rwtq max, but she surprised me and churned out 426.88 rwhp and 422.47 rwhp! Some people were saying that ARD's dyno runs a little lower than most, but i doubt it with the great numbers I got!

List of power making mods are:
XSPower complete 1 7/8" headers/3" off road x pipe/3" catback system
Volant cold air intake
Apex cold air scoop
ASP under drive pulley
Quick Sam Miller tune

Parts that may or may not have added some power:
Vmax ported TB
160* Thermostat

All in all I spent about $1,500!

Stock she dynoed 367 rwhp/365 rwtq, so she has gained 59 rwhp and 57 rwhp. Still have a GIANT cam and matching springs sitting in my garage, but I want to try to get an 11 on bolt ons first.

I may be wrong (and happy for you if I am) but don't the 18" wheels improve your RWHP numbers?

So, give some detail on the headers like fit finish, welds, etc.

Looks like the SAE numbers would have been ~414, closer to your original guess. Either way it should be enough to go 11s with the decent air we're finally starting to get, goodluck!

Hey Bro,

It was a pleasure meeting you at the Camaro Nat's. Ginger is a great looking car and I enjoyed seeing her...

Until the next time....

Some people say they do, some people say they don't. My tuner has dynoed hundreds of cars with all kinds of set ups and he says it doesn't make a significant difference.

Check out this thread for lots of pictures.

Headers and welds were gorgeous and I'm not your average consumer. I've been a stainless and aluminum TIG welder for about 12 years and know what good quality welds should look like. They were very close to the steering knuckle and a section of the k member. They probably wouldn't have hit but better safe than sorry so I dinged them a tiny bit. This may have been a deal breaker for some people but I would rather live with a couple of dings and save thousands of dollars.
