Videos of Ginger finally in the 12s! Next goal: 11s

So I went down to Houston for the Texas Camaro Nationals, but couldn't stay for the racing Sunday so I got a few runs in on Saturday. I have a big cam with matching springs sitting in my garage but I'm thinking with good air and dialing in the 60' I can get an 11 with just bolt ons!

A big thanks to LoneStarCamaro for getting these videos of my car.

This was Ginger's first time on drag radials and I was VERY limited on time so I didn't get to experiment with different psi settings and rpm for a decent launch so I couldn't muster a good 60'. Best time was:

60'.............1.9177
330'...........5.3122
660'...........8.1082
660’ mph...88.13
1000'..........10.4886
1320'..........12.4867
1320’ mph…112.92

Corrected for the 1692 DA it is about a 12.25 @ 115.154

Here is a Video of me racing HPE650Ragtop. He was on street tires so I was able to get out on him enough to take the W.

Nice vids
I'd be slightly disappointed if I paid all that money for an LPE 650 package and it only ran 12.6 @ 113 mph.

Nice runs man, I cant wait to get tires for next year! Bolt-ons and tires really makes for a solid running car, put skinnys on front you might get close to 11s.

In his defense he was on street tires against me on Saturday. On drag radials the next day I think he ran 11.93 @ 114 with a 1.69 60'.

Drag radials make a WORLD of a difference. My previous best with the only changes being drag radials and a cold air scoop was a 13.2 @ 110 (corrected to a 12.6 @ 114). My 60' was pretty crappy since it was my first time on drag radials. I think with some more practice I can get down to 1.7 60' and with some good DA I can get another couple of tenths and that should get me in the 11's.

I was seriously considering skinnies, but I like only swapping the rear wheels and being ready to run. That and I'm trying to not spend any more $$$ on Ginger until it's Whipple time. I also like having matching wheels, even at the track. I was thinking about having some Forgestar F14s narrowed but that would be crazy expensive.
