Some of those times are not really representative IIRC. Now, the 7:24 was on PS2s, but the newest times, including Z06, are on the Sport Cup Michelins. Now - don't get me wrong. I'm not taking anything away from this REMARKABLE achievement (still assuming it's true ), but I'm sure there are better times for the GT. I haven't noticed, and don't have the time and interest in looking, because I know what are good times, and this is a GREAT time for this kind of car.

I seriously hope the OP that said this was to soften the blow of the price isn't correct, however, I do think ZL1 will be an outstanding value, regardless of what it ends up costing. I better start playing the Lotto!!!

CONGRATS' GM AND KEEP THE INFORMATION GOING!!! please

It spanked the R8 too. Which costs around 110k.

But that time is with the expensive Z07 package and ultra sticky pilot cup tires, tires so sticky that they only last 2-5k miles. The fact that the ZL1 bested the original Z06 time (with comparable, less exotic tires) is almost unbelievable and nothing to dismiss easily. Nobody reasonable saw this coming. Bananas.

Awesome time for the Camaro, but guys check the list closely, the ZR1 is 9th and the Z06 is 11th. The GTR is 14th, nonetheless this is a truly amazing time for a Camaro!

Can't wait for 0-60 and 1/4 mile times.

It looks like this ZL1 has the cage and racaro's in it as well. It might not be an official time I thought it had to be a production version for it to be official "RING" time. I could be wrong.

It will be quit interesting to see what comes of those cars' times. All this hype over this and that - let's see some numbers and quite messing about!!!

To think this would be on those F1:G2s, and not even a tire like the PS2s or even Sport Cup tires is still amazing to me. I gotta' get another look at that list and see what other cars costing more are running. I think I speculated like high-40s, not near bottom 40s. WOW

Correction - the photo posted is not of the ZL1 which ran the Nurburgring in this time. It's just a prototype on display during Mark Reuss' speech at the Motor Press Guild right now.

You also have to remember that the original Z06 time was almost 7 years ago. There is alot more technology on this ZL1 than the old Z06 that helps it achieve numbers that are close to the Vette. None the less, this is a flat out unbelievable time!! Now I await the 1/4 mile and 0-60 numbers

Wow. I'm very impressed.

Scott said permagrin. Now I know what he meant by that. Now, I'm expecting the 1/4 mile times to be equally impressive. I can't wait to see that footage!
