Best sport exhaust for 2011 SS L99

Hi ,

okay , sorry for my bad english for the first time , i am from Germany !

I have a question :

Three months ago ive bought a 2011 Camaro SS with the L99 Auto trans !
I am planing to ship this one to my home in Germany , because its almost standing in Florida !
But we have bad rules here in Germany that dont allows you to drive a loud car ...
So my question is , if anyone has any idea which sport-exhaust i could buy for my Camaro , because its realy silent right now !
It should be anything , like a " Dr.Jekill and Hide " -Sport Exhaust like Harley - Davidson uses it !
A Exhaust which sounds like the original , and if you turn the swich it should be as loud as possible !

Thank you

Be careful and get something real quiet (Magnaflow Street, Borla Touring, etc) if you plan on getting headers later on.
We just had someone post from Germany and his car wouldn't pass inspection with headers and Borla Atak catback.

I suggest you get the Solo J-pipe axle backs (no drone) and have them shipped to Germany.
This way you can Install them after you pass German inspection. Drive easy in Germany and they will not be to loud. Keep your stock exhaust and If you do get in trouble you can always reinstall the stock exhaust over there.
Just an idea.

You should probably consider exhaust cut outs... allowing you to pass inspection for noise, but when you open it up at a light it sounds mean as hell.

It depends on what your limitations are there... I think the Borla S type cat back sounds incredible with or without headers... the ATAK will be far too loud as the previous posters stated.

Corsa makes a great unit for the L99. No drone at all. Great idle and wot sound.

I have actually PMed with a few Germans about this. They have used these mufflers here:
http://www.dynomax.com/mufflers.php?muffler=vt

Or this axle back system.
http://www.dynomax.com/application_i...ne-38493-38493

These mufflers have a higher flow through than many other designs as well, almost twice of some, but are quiet when you are just cruising around town.

Good luck in your hunt!

I can attest to the VT mufflers. I run the axleback on my car and it's very nice. A nice quiet, yet aggressive, sound at idle and cruise but once you get on it, they open up completely and get a lot meaner.

Thanks. It is a great, easy to install system. Sounds great at WOT as well.
I drove across the country with this system and I was really happy with it.
