ordering my exhaust tomorrow...

going to get the Pype's Bomb axleback(mufflerless) and the Magnaflow Tru Flow(non resonated) X-pipe... I figure the AFM will be an nuisance with it, but a tune is coming very soon anyway so no more AFM

I found the axleback for $278 shipped and the X-pipe for $75 shipped... would just get the mufflers cut off, but it would mean having to hack the stock tips off my setup and it'd be tricky getting them lined back up properly... and the cost of two tips is right at $200(about $100 a piece) so with this i'll already have my pipe bent(which I would have to pay a shop to do) and can weld it on myself, my dad has a mig welder and a lift in his shop... so exhaust work is easy.....just don't have a mandrel bender, lol

Good luck and be patient installing it. I just did this install on my SS and had major alighnment issues with the drivers side, not so much with the passenger side, almost went in correctly. Took us 1.5 hours to do and with a lift, just the alighnment issues, but is was well worth it. Sounds awesome.

Why are you paying for what is basiccally a glorified muffler delete? You would probably get a better sound and fitment from an actual muffler delete for about $80.

because you have to butcher the stock setup to get the tips off for one... to buy two tips its about $100 a piece for stainless 4.5" tips(about $200 in all)... now try to find an exhaust shop that will bend and cut some pipe and do the alignment for $80...

i'm not worried about having to spend time to line it up correctly, i'll be much happier being able to cut my stock axleback off and retaining the muffler and tip in one piece, plus with this route, I can do it myself, no bending or additional pipe needed... just cut, align, and tack

What 1JEWLDSSRS said. BAD alighnment issues . The sound is good for the money. However, the drone in 6th is horrible.
My wife is geting use to it tho. I am not.

So it's either $250. in dynomat or $500 for solo's axle back.

I'm not get'n old (I am) I have a mid 11sec nova that is loud and I do drive it a lot, it doesn't have OD (3.73's/t-350) so the 2k drone doesn't happen.

Let us know about the install and the drone. I am thinking about this exhaust too. I drive my car over 60 miles a day and don't want to much drone.
