As if that is some trivial thing. It makes it a lot more super than any other Camaro, be it aftermarket or production.

That's kind of like saying the big improvement in, say, Calvin Johnson over Usain Bolt is Johnson's ability to catch a football... like just any fast guy can learn to catch a football if they wanted to.

Still great to see these cars putting down well into the 7 minute range on the ring though. That's an accomplishment for sure.
It's more than the suspension, too, though. The electronics to control the suspension and the downforce package to which gets ZL1 to stick are also factors to consider. Not to mention all the coolers and the rest of the chassis are all included so the consumer doesn't really have to add anything to hit the track and run like a rock star

SLP ZL-cars are great, but I'm not sure comparing one to ZL1 is apples-to-apples.

Fair points. I wasn't aware of a downforce package or additional coolers. They're not mentioned on the ZL1 site (that I saw). I'm definitely NOT arguing that it isn't going to be a hell of a car. I just don't think that in 20 years, it'll be bringing high values on the auction block. I'm an ex-Viper guy, and while all the guys who bought the '92 (first year) Viper thought they'd be worth big money 20 years later, they were 90K cars then and can be had in the 20's now. The ZL will be the same way.
