Thoughts?

One guy also said on another forum:
MSD's digital window switch is a thing of beauty and a great safeguard. Tags into the tach feed for RPM, you can mount it in the console and access it thru the ashtray hole to adjust it. Dont buy the cheapo Summit brand window switch cuz its a pile of junk. Just tag the white tach feed wire under the glovebox door where its easy to get to and not only do you have a badass blinky display to impress all your friends but also perfect on-off nitrous activation. Always set it a few hundred RPM's lower than your rev limiter cuz these things use fuel cut for a limiter. Bad idea to have the NOS squeezing past the limiter. Lean=boom.

First, is that the setup you want? If you aren't sure, let me know and I'll give you a rundown on the differences of different setups. Second, are you asking about running a window switch? I see you added in a bunch of stuff someone else had said and it threw me off of if it was a question or not.

WOW! I know who to ask about doing a turbo build (if this was "the fast and furious"). The pic you posted was of a RB26 which is Skyline GTR motor with a twin setup (I know quite a bit about these cause I was stationed in Japan and owned a R32 GTR) , how does it apply to a 6 cylinder with 6 turbos or even a turbo compound setup? And what 4 cylinder have you seen with a 4 turbo compound setup? I have heard of 4 cylinder compound setups, but never heard of a 4cyl 4turbo compound setup, but maybe I'm out of the loop... so could you please show me.

The window switch is a must as far as safety goes. You also should get a fuel pressure safety switch so if your fuel pressure drops below a safe range while spraying nitrous, the safety switch will shut the nitrous off to keep from running the engine too lean.

Any links to something like that?

Yeah, according to the forum I snagged that from it was a pet project of a guy with an R34 or something of that sort. That thing tied two turbos into each bank of 3 cylinders thus 1 turbo for 1.5 cylinders. So if you could just shoehorn another two in and tie them.. Haven't seen a 6 for 6 setup though but its theoretically possible if you've got the room for the plumbing.

Now by turbocompound I looked at larger diesel and even a VW prototype that used what amounted to a quad turbo setup on a 4cyl (common twin turbo setup with another turbo/supercharger upstream of the air inlet for the primary turbo). A 6 Cyl wouldn't look much different than that Skyline motor but instead of the two turbos tying into the left and right side of the intercooler respectively they'd also be tied into a pair of belt driven superchargers driven off the engine.

Granted at that point the load on the engine itself would almost negate the gains but it'd look cool..

If you just type in "fuel pressure safety switch" into a search, quite a few will come up. Or you can look under the Nitrous accessories on your selected Nitrous dealer or performance places like TSP and they will have them. They normally run around $40-80. Also remember that you will want other safety items like a bottle heater or blowdowns. I always see it as the more safety items the better.

I was just trying to let you know Zabo, the Skyline motor had nothing to do with compound setups. The setup is a twin turbo setup and the pipes are scavenged correctly to help with spooling, but it is still considered a twin setup. A compound setup doesn't have to be a turbo and a centrifugal SC but can be 2 turbos (1 small and 1 big for high pressure and low pressure). The whole purpose is to have the effect of both a small turbo and a large turbo but no downdraw and they are not split doing half the load. A compound setup has the turbos feed off each other having the small turbo provide boost until the large turbo provides pressure to the small turbo. This is what a compound setup should look like

What drag radial should I get? Keep in mind my car is still mostly stock. Best run is 15.6x. I just dont want to be burning my strret tires up. I bought an extra set of 10 spoke rims.Tires I want 275-40-17. I plan on switching wheels at the drag strip or even if Im in a hurry throw the DRs on the back and drive there (220 mile round trip).
Ive been looking at these
MT ET Street Radial
Nitto NT05R
Nitto 555r
Thats really about all Ive looked at.

As it turns out my car is sitting a little early this winter. Found antifreeze on on top of the intake in a couple small pools. Looks like ill have to fix that this winter. Also what can I clean my throttle body, intake, and valve cover covers.

Bad news

As it turns out my car is sitting a little early this winter. Found antifreeze on on top of the intake in a couple small pools. Must of ran down the back of the motor and leaking on the ground. Looks like ill have to fix that this winter. Also what can I clean my throttle body, intake, and valve cover covers.

coolant on top of intake sounds like you have a hose leaking...should be easy to find out which one.

I hope a hose is all it is. I hope its not an intake gasket leak like my dad and I think. Its like on both sides of the intake Ill take the hose leak even tho Id like to take the intake and valve covers off and clean them up and maybe paintt them

I cleaned my engine down with Gunk foamy engine cleaner. The inside of the TB can be cleaned with TB cleaner. Valve covers, if pulled off, can be cleaned with the engine degreaser or brakleen (same with intake).

I've always used Fel-Pro. Usually what is always in stock at 99% of parts stores, too. If you feel adventurous, maybe now is a good time to try that spacer thing out, lol

As some as you may know I need to replace my upper intake for sure. Im going to do the bottom one as well as long with elbows. Heres everything I have so far:
Fix upper and lower intake gaskets
http://www.autozone.com/autozone/par...6_482003_5297_
http://www.autozone.com/autozone/par...er=148754_0_0_

Cooling Elbows
http://www.autozone.com/autozone/par...7_155956_2826_

Would these elbows be better?
http://shop.zzperformance.com/store/...nt-Elbows.aspx

Would I need a water pump gasket?
http://www.autozone.com/autozone/par...147723_0_5537_

Valve cover gaskets since im taking them off and cleaning/ painting them:
http://www.autozone.com/autozone/par...7183_167769_0_

Also what is the length of our serp belt?
Im getting a new one as well since my old one is starting to crack
http://www.autozone.com/autozone/acc...mString=search

Any other gaskets I would need?

Most of those links aren't working, fyi.

As for the belt, I'm going to guess the longer one is for cars with A/C. Don't quote me on that one, though.

Since you are going to be taking everything apart, you might as well put new water pump gasket in (that is, if you remove the pump).

Not sure what those cooling elbows are that you have links to (links don't work). Are they just the upper and lower coolant hoses?

It would probably be a good time to put in a new thermostat as well.
