Drying after wash & detail spray

Yesterday, I did my two bucket wash with adam's car shampoo, rinsed then sheet rinsed, then sprayed the car with adam's detail spray. after drying the car with my electric leaf blower, i noticed a soapy film had dried onto the paint. i then rinsed it off then dried the car again using the leaf blower without using detail spray first, and it was spotless. Should i not be using the detail spray before air drying the car with a leaf blower?

I usually dry and then use the detail spray with microfibre towels. Looks showroom new.

If you're just using a leaf blower there is no need to spray detail spray all over the car. You only use the DS if you're gonna use the great white drying towel to dry it off. Usually what I do is sheet the car as much as I can, then lightly mist the entire car with DS then dry with the great white drying towel. Leaves a streak free and shiny finish.

Shadow hit it.

The DS misting is only for if you're towel drying. If you plan to air dry mostly then you'll just be drying it on the paint and causing issues.

My process is:

1) Sheet rinse
2) Force air dry as much as possible
3) Towel dry remainder w/ Great White and Detail Spray or Waterless Wash
