I went 12.139@114.310 on P Zero's

I am very happy with the et but as soon as we can get this thing to stop pulling the dam timing I am going to run it into the 11's on the stock tires. I have a few friends that said there is no way in hell I can run 11's on P Zero's and I have a rock head.

Its funny you say that it was Mustang night there were two shop owned 5.0's there one with drag radials (12.8-13.0) and one with skinies and slicks (11.9-12.2) as soon as I came thru the gates they almost ran over to ask if I wanted to line up with some 5.0's.After I made a few passes they were no were to be found but they did find a couple bone stock 5th gens to beat up on.

Ya, I'd have told you you were crazy too. lol

Nice times. Stock tires are rough in grabbing.

What kind of power are you putting down?

I'm still a little shy of my goal but I think it is doable after last night. We think it is ingesting oil thru the PCV causing it to pull a shit load of timing I think that is why the trap speed is only 113-114 mph.I was expecting it to trap at 117-118.

Honestly I am a little surprised it ran as quick as it did because of how much it spun thru first and second gear.

Nice! But you're right. You should be trapping 117+. Let us know if the PCV/oil diagnosis works out.

Nice times.
Look at the positive side if you break an axle you have a really good excuse to buy some DSS axles. Mindz I promise Sacramento will not say anything about how loud your car is,I had the cut outs open on most of my runs last night.

I like the fact everyone thinks the 5.0 is the end all be all. It makes my win a little sweeter and there loss sting a little more.

Padre
I may pull the valve covers this weekend to make sure there is not a broken spring causing false KR. Has anybody experienced oil ingestion causing 6+deg. Of timing to be pulled? Anybody with input would be great.

I did the same thing to two Dodge SRT8s with slight mods...they were very unhappy and couldn't wait to ask about my mods. There were 5 5.0 mustangs at the track and none were running better than 12.98...the others 13.3s and up. I love it.
