T-Top conversion?

I'm looking into trading my Camaro hard top for a T-top. I read somewhere that there is a T-top conversion option. Has anyone heard of this?

Never heard of it for the 4th gen. There are a couple of threads about some custom shops doing it for the 5th gen. Seems to me that it would be cheaper and easier to just buy a 4th gen T-top than to cut up a coupe.

You can do it. I know a guy who did, all the provisions are there on a hard top. You just gotta get the T-tops, interior pieces and weather stripping. Then prepare for a ton of cutting and fabricating it to work.

Some pics here. Not his car, but you get the idea.

Look at ls1tech. I think there are a couple write-ups on this, and guys always sell conversion packages in the classifieds section.

Doing it yourself ends up causing leaks (more than it may already have) if not done perfect. Ive seen some kits but they come with t-tops much smaller than the factory ones. Make You can probably cut the roof out and buy that bar from a junkyard or ebay and put it in yourself.
