This is the closest thing to regret of buying a '12 Z that I've felt.

That is SLICK!!

....I wonder how hard it would be to machine/polish existing factory black wheels.....

Awesome looking. I would like to see a carbon fiber bowtie (front and rear), debadged (keep the ZL1) and blacked out tail light bezels. That would look sinister.

They should have carbon fiber stripes available , rather than the propsed gray vinyl for 2012.

I was thinking along those lines. I've done this in the past, and if you have wheels polished professionally then it could be pricey. Its sweet when its done. I like the wheels but IMO they are a tad busy. Maybe less black inserted and more polished or machined surfaces exposed......dunno.

IBM in this scheme would kill as well.

GM should consider releasing Carbon Fiber Stripes as opposed to the gray vinyl

My thoughts exactly.

If price is lower than I planned for...I might choose IBM, and option the exposed CF hood with polished wheels.....maybe....

If it's at or more than I planned, I'm going to keep the silver/black scheme.

I will buy those wheels, or make my polished ones look like that
(but with the ZL1 still shiny on the inside.)
