Vandals Dented my car PICS

So, I was walking out of best buy yesterday and I notice a huge dent in my car next to the wheel well. I was thinking to myself how the hell does that happen when I park in the back of the lot, with no cars within 100ft of mine.

So, the paintless dent people says its going to be a $240 fix. Thanks a lot Vandals.

You can try the old blow dryer compressed air trick.

I have used it and it really works.

Vandals damn, I was the same with my subaru impreza, the problem is that it was a lady of 80 years and I could not do anything ...

I hope your pretty green girl can be fixed soon

I did it on a large dent on a Tahoe that was on a crease. It worked well. It can't hurt. Most you are out is 10 minutes and 1/2 a can of air.

It is the computer / electronics compressed air. You can get it at any office supply store, walmart, radio shack, electronics store and maybe even a large pharmacy.

Big Fear

I am sorry that happened. One of my big fears is what happened to you. I also park in the back of the lot. Let us know how it turns out.

So, I tried the hair dryer and compressed air just like the video, and nothing. Im sure it works in some applications, but not working today. The guy at the paintless dent place, said something about our fenders being made out of thicker metal than most cars are, so maybe that has something to do with this trick not working.

I think it works on the fact that metal expands when it is heated and shrinks when it is cold. Are you getting the metal pretty warm and then turning the can upside down so that cold liquid is coming out and not just vapor?

Ya I tried warming it for 30 seconds the first time, then spraying it with the can upside. Then 1 min warming and spraying. Then 1min 30sec and spraying, and nothing. I used the whole can those 3 times, on just the top dent. And it was all ice coming out of the can, and still nothing. Also, the metal was very hot at the end of 1min, just like when I debadged the camaro.

Wtf is wrong w people!?!?!? Jealousy runs deep w these cars :( My LT was vandalized. Someone rubbed grass, mud, and multch all over it and scratched the paint from grinding the multch in it. Im hoping nothing happens to my SS now. I hope everything goes well w the repair.

that's pretty sweet..... I've done it with dry ice.... never thought of canned air, think I'll give that a shot in the morning. Much easier and cheaper than dry ice for sure! I used to work for best buy, their security cameras SUCK!

ohh.... and never spray one of those cans upside down inside the house..... it'll make you gag really hard...... not speaking from experience or anything
