There was a car like that when I was a kid. It was called the Vector, and it was a huge joke and never lived up to its "potential".

I sense the same thing is coming, if the crappiness of their photoshops alone is any evidence.

Well ... it would be possible. I'm not sure they'll accomplish their goals, but given enough funding there isn't really a good reason why they couldn't.

Jet turbines are more like internal combustion engines than rockets. They do not propel the car via exhaust thrust (like a jet engine on say an airliner), but through a transmission (like in a helicopter)

They built the Concord and didnt have a market for it, gave it away and France and the UK lost millions on it.. same idea here
