That is going to be hard to do but you never know , Considering Mark just got a billet dart block and a new twin 88mm set up for his Vette. I will let him post more photos!

The Camaro is fun, but it is actually my Wife's car... so I'm keeping it mild at around 600rwhp.

That was me on Horsepower TV.. I actually came in 2nd in the Modern Muscle X challenge in the Camaro. Lost in the finals to an 8.90 Mustang (guess I should have turned off the AC and turned down the Radio)

I have since got rid of the Hardtop car and got my wife a 2011 Convertible that will be receiving all the goodies off the old car over the next couple of weeks.

If you are going to be in Bradenton FL for the LSX Series Opener, I should have it down for some fun in the 5th gen class.

As for the Vette, this year expect to see power levels well over 2000rwhp! I have redesigned the whole build and we are going to be really fast this year. As always IPSMotorsports is the shop doing the work!

Here are just a couple of teaser pics...

That's just 1 side.. there will be 2 of 88mm Turbos feeding one of the Baddest LS Motors ever built!

new 9" conversion kit and new TH400 Trans from RPM Transmissions and the Drive Shaft Shop... you want to plant power, these guys know how to do it!

new bov's and waste gates... there will be 2 of each...

3000HP intercooler... I sure hope it is big enough

Don't walk in front of the car... with 2 of these big bad boys from Garrett, you might just get sucked in!

Mark,

Just stopped @ IPS today and checked your vette out. It is always fun to follow your builds and your dream to hit 200 at quarter. It is coming...

Pure awesome!!!

I have a question though, your not going to run it on the street? You have no crankcase evac system....just a vented can to relieve pressure. No way to evacuate the damaging combustion byproducts.

Below is a detailed explanation:

Now, some will ask, "why not just delete the PCV and run breathers"? This is where we find the PCV system is the most misunderstood system on cars today and almost NO techs today, or aftermarket performance shops/vendors understand. First, most beleive it is just to releive excess crankcase pressure. This is true, but it does far more. Every internal combustion engine has a small amount of blow-by even if sealed well. This blow-by consists of unburnt fuel, water vapor, carbon particles (very abrasive), sulfer, and other compounds that are harmfull to the motor and the PCV system evacuates, or "flushes" these compounds out while they are still suspended in the gasses. If they are NOT evacuated before the enginne is shut down and cooled, they condense and mix into the oil. The moost damaging are the fuel as it dilutes the oil, the carbon particles (to small for the oil filter to remove) as they are very abbrasive, and the water & sulfur, and other compounds mix to form sulfuric acid. An oil analysis will show the levels of these compounds as well as other metals from wear. The sulfuric acid after it reaches a certain PPM will begin to etch the bearing & journals surfaces leading to premature wear and possible failure. The water causes corrosion.

In my new system I will be running a 7 stage dry sump pump, one of which will handle the crank case vacuum. I will vent through the dry sump to the dry sump tank that has a built in catch can with a breather; however, the Dart Billet block I will be using will have very little blow by and should seal much better than your run of the mill assembly line motor.

Dry sump & a belt driven vac pump together would be optimin, but the stage 7 dry sump pump will still evac. Your doing it right

Kurt Urban designed the setup I will be using on my Dart Billet Block... He is pretty smart when it comes to building these types of engines.

He told me that we will not have any need for a belt driven vacuum pump this year... I have one already that I used to run.

From what he has told me the design of the Billet block is so much better that it will not need the vacuum pump and that the 7 stage dry sump will be more than sufficient.
