For fuel mileage, at certain rpm's under certain conditions the car will force you to shift from first to fourth. Guess what the skip shift eliminator does?

It plugs into your transmission underneath the car, pull a connector apart and this plugs in between. If you put it in the wrong place, you lose reverse gear until you change to the corrrect wire. Check out this thread.
