Bi-modal exhaust

Does anyone know if B&B or any other aftermarket exhaust maker plans on offering a bi-modal exhaust system for the Camaro? I think the B&B system is called the Fusion and they offer it for the Corvette. It has the vacuum line so that over a certain RPM, it opens up a second route through the muffler that is not muffled so much and sounds much more aggresive.

I have been wondering this as well. I would prefer this to cutouts because it seems that you retain more of a tone in your exhaust if it goes through the mufflers/resonators and the sound isn't too ridiculous (for neighbors that is). I have known a few people with e-cut outs and either the motors on them go bad or they don't seal properly if used frequently. Kinda defeats the purpose of them being quick and simple to switch.

I love how the NPP exhaust sounds on Vettes with headers and/or cam. With them open you get the visceral "I'm gonna EAT ya!!" roar we all love, but with them closed they sound almost stock-like. Hopefully we will see a few of these systems pop up in the next year or so

I agree. With cutouts, it just makes the exhaust sound loud and does not keep the tone from mufflers. If anyone has listened to the B&B Fusion exhaust on the Corvette, it has almost an exotic sound but very aggressive. I love it.

If I can make them fit,I will have Ls7 mufflers on our project car.

We did our Trailblazer SS this way back in 2007.Works exactly like the vette..only open at wot and 3200 rpm up.

I'm thinking about those cutouts. They can be set to partial opening also, and they block off the exhaust to the stock system as they open.
