That's the ultimate problem...can't decide. I wanna be able to SMOG when the time comes. Spend ~$6-7K outright, or put it into a new car payment? But realistically the Z would make the best sense.

So for less than 6K you could have more power than that stock ZL1..........

Only thing I have "broke" since I've had the SC is the ....... nothing. My posi unit quit working prior to the SC being installed and now I'm adding the eaton trutrack. I've had my SC for over a year (I think) and put about 12K miles on it so far.

Come to the dark side already!
I'm auto, and I'm scared of the lifters crapping out, and too broke to do the LS3 conversion. You're right though, it is time to sh-it or get off the pot. LoL!

Good deal.Yeah I'll be there at 1230, should be done around then.I did the Modul 600 fluid. He also changed out the plugs to NGK Iridiums, better then stock.

Baseline dyno with intake and RX ported TB was 384 hp and 389 tq. Was pinging and pulling timing. But it will be all better tomorrow

Very good....He mentioned that the brake fluid probably wasn't necessary in my case...lol...unless I really, really, pushed it hard and did a lot of hard breaking...said I'd probably be ok...

...But, the fluid is over two years old...and all fluid, even the Motul stuff is "hydro-scopic", meaning it will get moisture in it over time...the more moisture, the lower the boiling point...And he was sort of surprised I didn't bleed the brakes after removing fluid to add the clutch reservoir...lol...

...So, just for peace of mind, gonna get it bled, changed...

Yeah, no bleeding? Sounds like thats a good idea..lol Bleeding always worked in the dark ages and after to get rid of sickness and good brakes on carts...lol

great idea to change the fluid to dot 4. motul is an affordable dot4 that will withstand the punishment. its like 250 degrees higher to boil than the stock fluid

Back from Haddads. Car runs great and sounds like it is supposed to. Peak hp/tq 416/414. Picked up 32 hp and 24 lb ft of tq
The tale of the tq is after the peaks, stock drops off and the new setup stays strong and gently drops off. I gets 40 lb ft at 4800 and 30 or so at 5200.
hp gains after the peak at 5764 to 6200 is 40-45

Tad did a great job and in 82 degree heat to. He would run the car, let cool 10 minutes run again, then again and the numbers were back to back repeatable

Guess the number that matters most is the gain in HP and TQ.

The graph looks good, just a little louder then before but better and deeper, get on it and sounds like it should!
