Great idea. I'm going to look into who to talk to about that. I'd be able to help with everything I described, as well as run their fitness testing (not sure how often try have mandatory testing though but I've heard they do testing). Thanks

Hey, here's some real for you. On the v6 thread been seeing a number of engines blow/ sieze up. About 6 now in the 20-25,000 mile or more range, People I know here, some driven hard, some normal. Seems like they can start to drink alot of oil or it magically disappears even though they check it, (or not ) Bearing get spun seems to be the resut or cause. All in early 2010 range. Man whata pisser!
I'm glad I traded, mine was right in that build date range though may have nothing to due with it.

Just wonder if the 6, built strong as it is was meant to be more then a cruiser or just bad motors popping up now. How they iron it out.

That's a good question about the V-6. I know the V-8 LS motors have been around and tried and proven for years. It's nice to see the improvement in LS engines since the LS-1's existence. I always loved the fact that the Camaro received the LS engine just like the Vette. Gotta love it.

Been around 4-5 years, the LLT, not the new lfx but about the same. Used in the Caddy and others and rated #9 in the world 1-2 years.Runs like heck and built strong like the ls3. Maybe just some bad bearings

Probably v6s that blew were driven by young kids who had no idea about auto maintenance or even what crankcase oil is! lol

Yep. My ls1 in my 98 z28 has been one strong motor. 95000 miles and only drinks 1 qt in 3700 miles when using German castrol 0-30. at 75000 miles making within 2-3 hp of the peak it made at 16000.
And they just got better and better.

I think thats been the case but not sure on all. Lots of mods the dealer could blame, but still have to prove being the cause. Think most have been o.k.
